NøMa: What was the inspiration behind this design?
KG: I'm quite fussy about images on Tshirts per se and struggle slightly with the concept.  Personally I prefer a faded plain colour or a good clean stripe.  And nothing could top a fresh clean white Tee..  When asked to create an image for PF my immediate thought was 'a still life'.  Something traditional, but with a twist.

Briefly, what was your process?
An artist friend of mine spent many years living in Africa.  She has a cupboard of found animal skulls, random bones, shells … flora & fauna really that I've admired for a while.  I wanted to create a piece of work from her collection and PF seemed the perfect opportunity.  I photographed a few of the pieces, complimenting them by adding a few newer, random objects.  The finished silkscreen seemed to appear kind of disparately by simply printing one object next to another and seeing what relationship they provided for the next.

You work on a lot of music-related projects. Did you work towards this as a goal, or did the musicians find you? What kind of role does you music play within your process?
The musicians usually find me, which is always a massive compliment.  Once you've a couple of campaigns under your belt I think it helps people have the confidence and foresight to approach you.  Music fills a major part of my creative life, usually by generating free feeling and setting a strong mood, whatever its tone.  When I'm completing a piece of work and really have to focus, the music goes off.  Only peace and quiet allows me to focus and make the final decisions.

How do you assemble your images for a project? Do you imagine the feeling and content first, and go out and find what you need, or do you begin by collecting intuitively until you feel like you have a finished piece?
For this piece I did exactly that, imagining the feeling and content for it first, intuitively.  Conjuring up a 'mental snapshot' of the picture I needed to make. In fact, on reflection, this seems to be my usual process.  Everything's feeling-based with me.  I see what I do as an ongoing process, impulsively collecting objects, shapes, images etc along the way, in my daily life  … all stock for possible future projects.

Where are you located?
London. Maybe i'm stuck here.. not sure really. I've been here so long it just feels like the place that I live, its name no longer matters.
It never has nothing to offer... quite refreshing really. London spoils you.

What’s your favorite joke?
What's worse than a Girl Guide up your jumper? A Brownie in your pants...
